BUCK Knives Limited Edition "Statue of Liberty" model 500 Duke. This knife is a very important piece of American history and came out of the Buck Custom shop in 1987. The knife is serial # 629 out of not more than 2500. The wood handle is from the benches at Ellis Island with an inlaid shield of material removed during the restoration of the Statue of Liberty and Ellis Island, 1982-1992. Certificate of Authenticity by the Gold Leaf Corporation certifies, through a chemical identification process, the authenticity of these materials. Highly polished blade has deep gold etch of Statue of Liberty and dates 1886-1986. Wood display plaque has Statue of Liberty laser engraved on it.
