Handle says "MILITIA RECON" with three holes drilled in each side and three lines between the holes. The four ends of the knife handle have grooves cut in too give maximum grip. Removable pocket clip. Fast Dalton action. Made back in July 2000.

The Dalton knife "U.S. Militia" was released in December 1999. This is the only Dalton side-opener with a safety. The safety button locks the blade in the closed position. The Militia is one of the largest Dalton side-openers. Handle is marked "PROPERTY OF U.S. MILITIA". Serial numbers started at 20000 this one is 20014 . This is a really great knife, it's very thin for such a large knife, and rides very deep in the pocket due to the placement of the removable pocket clip. For any of you that have seen the movie "Gone in 60 Seconds" with Nicolas Cage, this is the knife that Sphinx uses. Not many of these were made. Highly Collectible Automatic Knife. New.
