The late Dan E. Brdlik hand ground only 50 of these reproduction knives, which he serial numbered in sequence and signed. The reproductions were all made in 1987 and will never be made by Dan again. This weapon is completely hand ground out of solid black coated stainless steel. The back is etched with serial number "21 / 50" and Dan's signature. Awesome concealed assassination sleeve dagger. "Happy Jack Knives" are made by Chuck Garlits. He and his wife Cecelia hand-make all of the parts for this outstanding pocket knife. All of the Happy Jack line of cutlery are made of 440 C stainless steel and tempered to RC 57 (heat treated by Chuck). Handles are made of rich red jigged bone. Bolsters and liners are made of nickel silver and are satin finished, as are the blades. Happy Jack has the shield inset in the handle and the blades are deep etched with logo, year and serial number - this one made in 1988 and is serial #033 of only 150 made. Most important: Happy Jack knives are completely hand made from start to finish including heat treating. Comes in original Happy Jack two-piece box.
