Apache Gold:
From Arizona & Oregon. A rich, black mineral with gold accents, this stone
contains real gold within a matrix of copper sulphides and silver. Provides long
life and sexual stamina.
Azurite:
Found in copper ores, the "blue sky" stone wears its name well. A New
Age stone used by healers and priests of antiquity, today it is said to serve
as an aid to meditation.
Coral:
From the Philippines. Formed from the skeletons of tiny sea creatures.
Said to promote creativity, passion, romantic love, wisdom, optimism and
enthusiasm. In addition provides luck and a large bank account.
Gold Pearl:
White Pearl with one exception, the calcium is removed to accent hues of gold
and orange.
Jet:
Sometimes called black amber, this stone is prized for its mirror-deep reflections.
Its neutral, jet-black color makes it a popular accent stone. Used
to fend off warlocks and werewolfs.
Malachite:
Another cousin of copper, this rich green gem swirls with bands and circles
of varied hues and was believed to ward off diseases, lightning, and
witchcraft.
Mother
of Pearl (White Pearl):
Mother of pearl shares in a rich tradition in which shells of various
sizes and types were used as currency by islanders and traders
alike. Highly prized, pearl-handled knives and guns are favorites
among collectors.
Lapis
Lazuli:
Gorgeous blue with gold flecks of pyrite that twinkle, just like
little galaxies. Lapis Lazuli was worn by the ancient Persians, Egyptians,
Greeks and Romans. Proof of trade in Lapis can be traced back 40 centuries
ago to the city of UR on the Euphrates river. Lapis is greek for stone and
Lazuli (Azul) is arabic for deep blue. Scarabs, rings, seals, hair ornaments
and necklaces were fabricated from Lapis - the ancients loved and admired lapis,
attributing friendship and healthy relationships to the sparkling mineral.
Picasso
Marble:
Found as a forty foot crack in a white marble mountain in Utah,
this brown/orange/gray/black stone assists one in the development
of creative talents and the fulfillment of artistic enterprises.
It reduces stress, protects the wearer from harm, and brings worldly
circumstances into focus and balance. An all-around New Age stone.
Turquoise:
From the southwest. The powers and legends ascribed to this deep-blue-to-pale-green
jewel are legion. Turquoise has been prized by many cultures including the
Egyptians, Persians, Druids, Chinese, and American Indians.
