Stainless steel drop point blade etched "SMITH & WESSON FIRST PRODUCTION RUN U.S.A." The handle is black checkered zytel with scrimshaw inlay as well as a Smith & Wesson inlaid logo shield. This set was handcrafted as part of the scrimshaw series collection. Comes brand new in a Smith & Wesson display box.

The larger blade is swedged with a nice long nail pull and is etched "THE FOUNDERS SMITH & WESSON 144TH ANNIVERSARY 1852-1996" with pictures of both founders. The smaller blade is etched "FIRST RUN 1 OF 1000". Both blades have good strong snap. Brass liners. Nickel silver handle pins and bolsters. The front bolster is etched with the serial number #224 of only 1000 ever made. This is an awesome commemorative knife designed by Stewart A. Taylor to commemorate the 144th anniversary of the Smith & Wesson founders. Comes brand new in a two piece box.
