The traditional-influenced offering is the Kiwi and it reflects features found on Grandfather's favorite whittler while remaining true to Spyderco's preference for high-tech materials and ergonomics. Its two-inch VG-10 blade has a Wharncliffe profile and pronounced hump created to accommodate the Spyderco Round Hole. Position of the hole on the blade is important (especially for smaller knives) in finding the spot with the most comfortable/natural pivotal rotation when opening one-handed. Dual finger choils cutaway on the underbelly of the handle deposit the fore- and middle fingers in alignment for optimal control. Amber-colored jig bone scales set next to brushed stainless bolsters are reminiscent of more traditional cutlery. In the manner of a true gent's folder, it is clipless. Comes brand new in box with leather slip pouch.

The Spyderco C130G Chicago is just that. Two-inches of flat ground 440C blade urbanely outfitted with black G-10 handle scales and Michael Walker LinerLock. The handle is shaped and sized ergonomically with full-length skeletonized liners inside for strength without bulk or weight. Its leaf-like shaped blade effectively cuts across the board, from significant strenuous cuts like carpet and poly rope to something as simple as fingernail cleaning or scraping tape off of glass. Spyderco Knife "Black G-10 Junior DiAlex Liner Lock". Romanian Technical Manager Alexandru Dionescu’s young son entered the curious-boy-years and started asking for his first pocketknife. His request motivated Dionescu to create a folder with a prominent handle-guard. The guard parks the hand firmly in control over the blade by effectively blocking fingers from sliding forward onto the blade’s sharp edge. The guard’s position on the G-10 handle leaves limited room for a locking mechanism so a Spyderco Compression Lock was added for its compact components and impressive strength. Flat-ground VG-10 blade has nonskid spine jimping.

Discontinued Spyderco Knife "Viele 2 Liner Lock". Howard Viele has been a leading member of the Knifemaker's Guild since 1976. His designs are visually identifiable and carry his personal stamp: tactical, modern, gentlemanly and tapered. The Spyderco/Viele wears this signature appearance embodying flowing lines and a high-tech tone. Its VG-10 blade is hollow-ground to further enhance the folder's overall tapered look.

Marking it as a Viele design is his signature logo of three small parallel holes and a circular symbol which represent the Japanse God of War. Positioned to maintain the intergrity of the blade's sleek shape, the Spyderco Trademark Round Hole is somewhat smaller than normally found on Spyderco knives. Texturing along the blade's spine is designed to grip the thumb's pad keeping it in contact with the top of the blade for added responsiveness and control over the cutting edge. An all-stainless handle is blanketed on the back by a scale of black woven G-10 and the handle's front scale is partly superimposed with a tile of black Micarta. The Micarta tile cuves downward near the blade giving the inpression of a bolster. An open spine with spacers lessens bulkiness and weight and facilitates cleaning and drying the knife's inner workings. Its black steel clothing clip carries tip-down. New in Box.

Ed Scott is a South African custom knifemaker who makes custom knives for professional hunters. When using a knife repeatedly for the same type of cutting jobs it quickly becomes apparent what features work best. Ed took his own ideas, added to the suggestions he had from his fellow hunters, pouring them into a knife design catering specifically to the hunter.

Spyderco loved the design and conducted its own testing on a good sized Muley taken one cold, fall morning near their Golden facility. What they discovered was Ed's design worked and worked incredibly well. So they released two versions of Ed's design he calls the Impala.

The blade on the C73G has a double beveled gut hook sharpened on both sides of the inside radius. Positioned above the guthook, a section of unsharpened serrations make a slip resistant resting spot for the index finger while controlling the tip and
guthook. The blade is VG-10 with a Walker liner lock. Low-profile steel clip is nested into the black G-10 handle scale keeping the folder firmly clipped without destroying cloth pockets. Carries tip-down.

He started pounding steel, making knives more than fifty years ago. If you're lucky enough to find a custom-made Moran to buy, expect to shell out five-figures, minimum. His work and designs are that revered. Spyderco is privileged to offer a production fixed-blade collaboration patterned in Bill Moran's ageless tradition.

The blade is flat-ground VG-10 and carry's Bill's signature. They are tapered, starting thick where the blade joins the handle, thinning down the spine to a fine, uniformly ground tip. In the hand, the knife conveys a unique feeling of balance, called by some a sweet spot. The sweet spot is due to the blade and handle being comparable in weight. This balance transfers into a feeling of steady control over the cutting edge. The FRN handle three-dimensionally fills out the palm and is inlayed with a panel of non-sliding Kraton on both sides and on top for your thumb. Highly recommended for hunting and camping comes in a molded kydex belt sheath with multi-position tek-lok fastening system.
